This is a Soft and Spongy red velvet cake recipe any one can easily make at home. Combining with cream cheese frosting , will make this an irresistible treat.

Directions
Pre heat the oven @ 180C
Add vinegar to the milk and keep it aside
Sift the dry ingredients- flour, baking powder, baking soda and cocoa powder, together and keep it aside
Add egg, vanilla, powdered sugar oil and food color to a bowl and beat it until it turns light and airy.
Add the wet ingredients and milk to the dry ingredient and beat on low speed until combined.
Divide the batter between 2 lined 7 inch pan
Bake in the oven for 18 to 20 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the middle comes out clear,
Tips : Beat the egg sugar mixture until light and airy. this will ensure a spongy cake
Alternative Ingredient : Vinegar can be replaced with same quantity of lemon juice or 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
Use buttermilk or Yogurt instead if (milk + vinegar)
Egg can be replaced with yogurt @ 1/4 cup per egg
