Diwali or Deepavali, the festival of lights is a popular Indian festival.
During this festive season people make sweets and distribute it to friends and family.
Unlike the other festivals, the sweets, desserts and snacks prepared for Deepavali are broad and any premium sweets or desserts are ideal for it to celebrate.
But if you are a busy person then this recipe is ideal for you. 4 Quick Diwali Sweets with one dough . These are easy sweet recipes with milk powder.
Directions
Take a pan and add ghee, milk, and milk powder. (add in 3-4 additions stirring continuously so that no lumps are performed)
Stir continuously on medium heat. (for about 8 minutes)
When the dough thickens take out 1/4th of it and keep it aside.
Add Powdered Sugar and keep stirring until it thickens. (about 5 more minutes)
Transfer about 1/3rd of the dough to a greased tray. flatten the surface with the spatula.
Sprinkle some chopped pistachios and some rose petals on top. and lightly press with a spatula to sink in the nuts.
Refrigerate until set and cut into square pieces.
Now take the next 1/3 portion of the dough and add coconut desiccated powder. (Recipe-2)
Add rose syrup and knead it to form an even dough.
Next 1/3 portion of the dough. (Recipe-3)
Roll it on your palm and slightly press it.
Make an indent with your finger and decorate it with candied fruit.
Add All purpose flour and baking powder (Recipe-4)
Knead to form a consistent dough and roll it into small balls.
Transfer to a baking sheet.
Alternatively, you can fry it in oil until golden brown,
Bake it in a preheated oven at @180C for 10 minutes.
Transfer to a container and pour hot sugar syrup. and let it sit for 4 hours.
