 This is a very easy basic swiss roll cake recipe any one can make at home , cherry/strawberry jam swiss roll cake recipe Swiss roll, jelly roll, roll cake, cream roll, roulade or Swiss log is a type of rolled sponge cake filled with whipped cream, jam, or icing. 

in spite of the name “Swiss roll”, the cake is believed to have originated elsewhere in Central Europe, possibly Austria.

 Any how these are my favorite. This is easy to make and can surprise your guests with the tender , moist ,spongy and sweet taste.



Step 1

Pre-heat oven @ 170C.

Step 2

Add Separated eggs, vanilla essence, sugar, and salt and beat until light and fluffy.

Step 3

Now beat egg whites and add sugar in 3 to 4 addition.

Step 4

Fold in the egg yolk gently.

Step 5

Add all-purpose flour, and baking powder, and fold in the dry ingredients gently to the wet ingredients.

Step 6

Transfer to a lined baking tray,

Step 7

Bake in a preheated oven at @170C for 20-25 minutes.

Step 8

Roll it when it is still hot.

Step 9

once cooled refrigerate for an hour.

Step 10

Spread sweet cherry jam.

Step 11

Slice and serve hot.
