Tasty Chicken Buns or stuffed buns have a light and airy texture and are perfect homemade snacks for kids. They are great for breakfast, lunch box snack or after school snack. The filling is absolutely versatile. You can go with vegetarian filling, paneer , mixed vegetables etc.

Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 200 degree Celsius (490 degrees Fahrenheit) with a rack in the upper third of the oven. If you’re using a baking stone or baking steel, place it on the upper rack. Prepare dough through step 5.
Add yeast and sugar to warm milk and let it rise for 10 minutes
3. Add the flour salt, sugar and oil to the milk and knead the dough in the bowl, over a counter top or in a stand mixer. Add enough water little by little as needed while kneading to get a smooth dough as shown in the video.
Let the dough proof and double in size. It might take ½ to 1 hour depending on the temperature of the place you live
Once risen punch down the dough, divide it to 2 and roll it into small balls around 6 equal balls
Roll the balls to a round disk, add the filling and fold it to form a ball
Transfer to a lined baking tray and let it sit for 20 minutes.
Brush the top with egg wash (1 egg beaten well) and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake in a preheated oven @180C until it turns golden brown, about 17 to 20 minutes
For Filling :1. Add oil in a pan and sauté ginger garlic paste for 1 minute and add the onions and salt and sauté until it turns transparent 2. Add bell pepper, the powders and sauté until done (2 to 3 minutes). Remove From Heat and Set aside
Tips
Milk: Use warm milk to cut down on rise time, Anything over 130ºF kills the yeast.
Flour: Use all-purpose white flour and whole wheat flour in this recipe.
Oil: A Tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil adds wonderful flavor to the dough.
Knead by hand or in a stand mixer for about 10 minutes
Place dough into a greased mixing bowl, cover tightly, and set aside to rise for about 60 minutes or overnight in the refrigerator.
Punch down risen dough to release air bubbles.
Alternative Ingredients
You can use either 3 Cups All Purpose Flour and skip whole wheat flour.
You can substitute bread flour for a chewier bun, but add a couple extra Tablespoons of water since bread flour contains more protein than all-purpose flour.
You can use vegetable oil , olive oil or coconut oil or butter
Can Substitute Warm Water for Warm Milk
